K-9 Program
Overview
K-9’s, each partnered with a specific officer, are certified in building searches, area searches, tracking, crowd control, off leash apprehensions and articles searches.
K-9 FRANKIE
K-9 “Frankie” is a Dutch Shepherd originally from Mexico. He is two years old and is trained for drug detection, tracking, article search and apprehension.
His handler is Officer Amanda Ventura. Officer Ventura states that she has enjoyed the bond that K9 “Frankie” and she have developed already and looks forward to being part of K9 “Frankie’s” successful career at the NCPD.
